Flight Simulator X... Is it worth it?
I have flight sim 2002 and it runs great on the maximum setting for it. I was wondering if flight sim x is worth getting for the realism as i want to become a pilot.
I tried out the demo and it was alright. Like the controls are a lot different. The basic things on the joystick were almost the same but like the flaps spoiler and all that stuff was confusing then there is the new auto throttle and stuff. So basically is there one of those books that come with the games in the box the give u all of the basic things u need?
Also i want to fly a 747, 787, A380 and those kind of planes more than the beach crafts and the old planes. Cessna's are ok. So should i get deluxe or standard? Specially for the A380 if i can get it in the standard then alright.
My computer can take the graphics as i just bought an brand new one with intel quad core, 4 gb ram, and this 1 gb video card...
FSX will have the 747-200/400.
The other two B787 and A380 you will need to download from the web.
FSX works best with Windows vista.
As for being a pilot, the FAA still thinks it just a game, But many Student Pilots, and CFI and CFII says its a Great tool.
