why does Micro$oft force us to keep IE?
i really never use the browser because it's not up to par with Firefox or Opera, but everytime I try to delete it, I get a warning message telling me that i some vital applications/programs might not work
Is this part of the MS monopoly strategy?
A little bit, they built other programs that are part of the OS to use features that are found in IE. So instead of re-writing them and having two copys that just have the one copy that is in IE. Its a pan, but just don't use it. There are plenty of other files on your system that Microsoft put on there, that you already don't know about.
