How do u make a high speed fan silent? not computer related.?
I am designing a hovercraft and I want it to be nearly silent. What is the major reason fans lead to noise pollution? How can this be overcome?
You cannot make such a high speed fan silent.
The very high blade tip velocities will make any large high speed fan noisy, especially an axial (propeller -type) fan.
Silencers do not really "silence" - they reduce or muffle some high frequencies and require space. The addition of noise abatement devices will do little more than just add weight and increase the requirement for even more power.
