Im lookin into getting my first street bike?

Ok Im looking into buying a my first street bike.Iv ha dirtbike and I know there diffrent.I's ridden a Drz 400 on the street.I like the Suzuki Sv's 650 or 1000.I just like the look of a naked bike.I was wondering what you guys think would be good bike wise in the 600 range to 800 cruiser or 1000 naked.I mainly want it for gas.My dad has a beautiful vtx1300 and that bike is to big for me to be able to control 100%.I way 160 athletic. My dads bike may just seem big cause im not custom to cruiser size. What ya got?Sv just looks like its got decent qualitys all in every caterogy that matters.

If you are *honestly* looking to save gasoline, less displacement is better. For the purpose of saving gas you want the least bike that can run on the roads you need to run on. For maximum efficiency you want the proper tool for the job.

So where will you be riding, at what speeds? Local streets only a 125 will suffice. Add in freeways and a 250 will do. A 250 is even capable of interstate rides.

I have a Suzuki LS650 Savage, AKA the S40. Very light and easy to handle, the torque of a 650, top speed 85+. Get 45-50 mpg hard city riding on what California has in lieu of gasoline. Got 70+ mpg from Parker AZ to Palm Springs via CA62 at 50-55 mph.
