Does anyone know of a religion that makes sense?
I can't seem to find one. Most of the old testament stuff is just irrational. All of the billions of people in the world did not decend form adam and eve, we would all have horrible deformities and diseases form all that inbreeding. And NO ONE has ever made a bigenough boat to fit two of everything on it. There has to be one that embraces modern science and evolution but still has a belif in a higher power, does anyone know of one?
That is an interesting question because I've struggled with it myself. In the days that I was doing some soul-seeking, I tried Islam, Protestantism (I was raised Catholic), Different forms of Hinduism, The three great schools of Buddhism (Mahayana, Theravada, Varjayana) and Soto Zen. I cannot speak for every religion of the world, but I've been around.
After all that searching, do you know that I found? No religion makes sense because none of them are based in rationality. There is no rational support for the existence of gods and goddesses, nor is there any for the supernatural.
I think you may want to adopt an agnostic point of view and study rationality, naturalism, and humanism. You will be able to base your ethical system on logic and reason. Of course, the study of religion can be pleasurable... don't give it up if you enjoy it.
