Is it possible to force yourself into depression?

I really want to make my parents feel really bad for getting mad at me so much and force myself into depression...Is it possible for me to do that?
I don't want reasons why I shouldn't do that...

But if it is possible...PLEASE TELL ME HOW!

To answer your question:
Being around other depressed people can have a contagious effect on you. When you're in the presence of depression, it starts to cling to you. Listen to depressing music and watch depressing movies with sad endings. Make a list of things you hate about yourself.

A thing to consider:
Is it possible that you're already suffering from depression. Typically, those who aren't depressed don't ask for ways to become depressed, you know? You may just have a way of keeping your depression inside, instead of letting it out.

What I suggest:
If you want your parents to feel bad for you, you should honestly confront them with your feelings. Let them know that it hurts your feelings that they seem to always be mad at you. Ask what you can do to improve, and let them know what would encourage you to do what they ask.
