2001 dodge caravan sport transmission speed control goes bad?
I had to change the speed control sensor every 500 miles. Someone told me to have the transmission flushed which I did it ran for 3000 miles. Now its acting up again. It will not shift gears and the RPMs stay very high. Sometimes if I turn it off it will go a few more miles. This has been a two year old problem. Any help from anyone would be great. Thanks Linda
when you remove the speed sensors do they have small metal shavings on them because if they do that will mess a speed sensor up on one of those,it might be good idea to have the tranny flushed ,i have seen a lot of cases where the speed sensors was being ruined by small metal shavings getting on them,and that will throw your readings off on the speedometer as well as ruin sensor,id have that checked,those are to expensive to keep buying like that,good luck.
