After fiddling with my throttle EPA, my Tamiya now only lunges and no longer runs. Help!?
I have a Tamiya #58161, which is very similar to TA02 I believe. I have the stock ESC with a Tamiya Super Stock TZ, and a Futaba Magnum 2PL. I know the TZ is out of spec for the ESC, but I assure you that is not the problem, I drive the TZ daily on the ESC. Today I was messing around with my radio and noticed it had TWO EPA settings, and after reading the manual, found out the second is a throttle EPA, wasn't sure what it did so I fooled around with it to see what difference it made. I noticed no changes, but the radio started switching back and forth between forward and backward on the settings. I set the EPA back to default as it was before because I didn't see any difference, and then went to try and drive my car again, now it doesn't work. It lunges forward like it is about to go, and then stops, and if I hold the throttle it repeats the cycle, lunge, stop, lunge, stop.
I am not sure what I did, but now I am really upset. My car worked fine before, now it's fubar.
There should be a reset button on the speed control. You might have to use a pin to push it, as it'll probably be set in to the casing so you can't press it by accident.
