How do you disable the alarm on my P reg Corsa?
My alarm on my P reg. Vauxhall corsa seems to start up on its own for no apparent reason, I have a new battery ( 2 weeks old ) so it is not connected with a failing voltage supply. How do I disconnect it to stop this annoying problem ?
The simplest way would be to take the fuse out, however.....In most cars there is more than one item running off the same fused circuit. Check in the manual what fuse the alarm runs off and what else runs off that ciruit. If there is anything else on the circuit first check if you have that feature and then decide if you could sacrifice it. Eg, if it is on the same ciruit as the cigarette lighter and you dont use the cigarette lighter you might as well take the fuse out and that will solve your problem or if it was on the same circuit as something like foglights and you didint have foglights you can just take the fuse out. However if the alarm is on the same circuit as the indicators you cannot take the fuse out. In this case you are best just to start trying different thiings out. the best idea would be to try and find out what the problem of the alarm is and stop it. Or you could just do something simple like disconnect the siren.
