How to attach tube thermometer into fish tank?
I have a thermometer, that I got at wal-mart. One of those "Aqua-Culture" thermometers, in a tube with weights at the bottom and a suction cup at the top. But, I had that thermometer for 3+ years, and the suction cup rubber is all hard and stuff, and it eventually broke. How can I attach the thermometer to my tank without anything hideous or big? Do I have to submerge the whole tube? Is there anything I can use that will not put chemicals, rust or whatever into the tank? Thanks greatly.
If you had the thermometer for three plus years, it is most likely time to purchase a new one. Unless this was an extremely expensive thermometer, I would just toss it and buy a new one.
